Rev. Darren Cooper was appointed Promotions Director for the Apostolic Crusaders in June of 2011 under the administration of General Youth President, Rev. Chad Erickson.
Darren also serves as the Assistant Pastor & Minister of Music at a great, revival church in New Albany, MS – Victory Church – where he has attended all of his life under the leadership of Pastor Mark Bishop and Bishop Raymond Bishop. Over the past several years, Darren has served the Mississippi district of the ALJC as District Church Growth Director, District Youth Committee Member, and District Youth President. He has also served on the National Youth Convention staff for the past two years.
Rev. Cooper was raised in an Apostolic home and is a 3rd generation Pentecostal. His parents saw the need for Christian education early in his life and enrolled him in a Christian school, Victory Christian Academy, where he attended K-12th grade. After graduating high school, he attended Itawamba Community College and majored in Computer Information Systems.
Darren has over 10 years experience, in graphics design, video/television production, audio engineering, and computer networking. Throughout those years, he has had the privilege to work on some exciting projects and even operated his own production business, Front Porch Media.
When Darren was just 11 years old, he met the girl that would eventually be his first girlfriend, and later become his wife – Emily Day Cooper. Darren and Emily have been married six years and in March of 2009, God blessed them with a son, Peyton.
Darren is an avid runner and enjoys running 4-5 miles a day. He also enjoys watching/attending college football games and cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels!
