Rev. Jacob Lovelace – Youth Works Director

Jacob Lovelace currently serves Bethlehem Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Potts Camp, Mississippi, as School Pastor/Principal; he has held this position since 2005. He has served the Mississippi District of the ALJC as Sectional Youth Leader and Youth Secretary since 2008.

In 1994 Jacob met Whitney (Stanton) Lovelace at a National Apostolic Christian School Competition in Knoxville, Tennessee, and eventually married her in 1999. In 2003 his first child, Jon Wesley, was born, followed by his daughter, Meredith, in 2006.

Jacob received his formal education at the University of Mississippi earning his BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering) in 2003.  Following graduation, he was immediately employed in the power industry from 2003-2005.

A zealous sports fan, Jacob grew up in East Tennessee playing basketball in high school and rooting for the Tennessee Volunteers (Go Big Orange). His passion for sports was one motivator for his career transition as he now serves as basketball and volleyball coach at Bethlehem Christian School. Some of his other interests include golf and recreational hunting.

After realizing his secular position would not fulfill his ministerial ambitions, Jacob pursued the call of God for his life. His burden for seeing God’s Word become the dominate influence in society has motivated him to accept the Youth Works director position, giving him the opportunity to educate today’s youth for tomorrow’s challenges.
