Rev. Michael Maupin – SINGLESOURCE Director

My name is Michael Maupin & I am very excited to be the director of the newest Apostolic Crusaders’ division, SINGLESOURCE.  This new division is a much needed department to help reach, develop, & interconnect a large group of singles in our organization.

I was privileged to grow up in a christian home where my parents took me to First Apostolic Church in Maryville, TN, & First Apostolic Church in Knoxville, TN, where I was blessed to call Pastor Kenny Carpenter, Bishop Billy McCool, & Pastor Mark McCool my pastors.  My parents also made a tremendous sacrifice to send me to Apostolic Christian School in Knoxville, TN.  It was there at chapel services that I was baptized in the name of Jesus & filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost.  Upon graduation from high school in 1995, I started college and after the fall semester of 1998 I decided to take a semester off that turned into a twelve year lay off.  In the fall of 2010, I re-enrolled in college & I am currently finishing my degree through online courses.

I answered the call to ministry in the fall of 1996 and after working with the youth, teaching Sunday school, & working at Apostolic Christian School & First Apostolic Church in Knoxville, TN, I launched out into full-time ministry as an evangelist in the spring of 2003.  Later that year I accepted a position as youth pastor & sports director at Bethlehem Church & Christian School in Potts Camp, MS.  I was blessed to work with Bishop Steve Wilson & Pastor Jon Vazquez for two years & served as the Mississippi District AC Youth President before leaving to evangelize again in the fall of 2005.  One year later, General Superintendent Robert Martin asked me to move to Baton Rouge, LA, to work as youth pastor & while there worked with the Louisiana District AC Youth.  In the fall of 2007, I once again embarked on the evangelistic field & have been working as a full-time evangelist with the ALJC Evangelist Department for over three years now.

I am blessed to be married to a wonderful woman, Tara, & we have the three greatest kids in the world, Shelby, Grayson, & Braxton.  We currently live in Pocahontas, AR, where my wife’s father, Pastor Jerry Cochran, & my wife’s grandfather, Bishop Bill Gray, pastor.
